Mr. Wang Shi founded Vanke in 1984 and currently is the honorary chairman of the board. Under his leadership, Vanke has grown into China’s leading real estate company and a pioneer in green building construction.

Wang Shi actively promotes corporate social responsibility and practices sustainable environmental development. He has participated in the establishment of the Alashan SEE Entrepreneur Ecology Association, One Foundation, One Planet Nature Foundation and Foundation of Rural Development. He also serves as the core leader of many international organizations and charity organizations.

Since 2011, Wang Shi has been visiting scholar at Harvard University, Cambridge University, Oxford University and Hebrew University, as well as visiting professor in many institutions of higher learning. He loves sports and has been the eleventh person in the world who successfully completed ‘climbing the highest peaks in seven continents and crossing the Arctic and Antarctic’ expedition. Now he is making great efforts to promote rowing in China and was elected president of the Asian Rowing Federation in 2014.

Mr. Yu Tao is the President & CEO of China State Construction Engineering Corporation (Middle East) (L.L.C.), oversees CSCEC’s direct regional operations in the GCC as well as in other countries in the Middle East with Over 28 years’ extensive overseas experience in the management of corporate affairs and construction projects.

Mr. Yu Tao Lead the largest international contractor in the Middle East, which is also one of the major overseas operational entities of China State Construction International Ltd (CSCEC).

Mr. Yu Tao holds a Master’s Degree in Project Management from the National University of Singapore and Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the Chongqing University in China.

Mr. Nathan Savory is a qualified Architectural Technologist with vast experience across a broad range of construction environments.

Beginning his career in the residential sector developing through industrial to commercial practice. Naturally drawn towards software within construction and seeing the beneficial effect Reality Capture can have within the industry, he has consistently kept Reality Capture at the fore-front of his work.

Aspiring to make a positive impact within the construction industry, he now helps organizations utilize reality capture within an ever-developing digital ecosystem through Leica Geosystems solutions across the emerging EMEA region after helping to develop the Leica Geosystems Reality Capture business within the UK.

Nathan has a strong-willed focus on high quality data input resulting in enriched end deliverables from initial design to post life cycle management of our constructed assets.

Mr. Shalabh Dhaddha has an impressive 10+ years of experience in the field of surveying, GIS, material testing and thermal imaging. He has developed his skills in offering hardware solutions in his field that help organizations push the boundaries of digital transformation; for example, implementing BIM supported field layout technologies, using mixed reality technology on the field, implementing cutting edge 3D laser scanning tools, and beyond.

From offering state-of-the-art solutions to implementing and trouble-shooting, Mr. Shalabh makes sure his clients are making the most of digital construction - implementing BIM, 3D models, as-built data and more, into their workflows.

Mr. Jabar Abdul Hamid is currently the Project BIM manager of China State Construction Engineering Corporation Middle East (CSCEC ME). He is Mechanical Engineer with wide range of experiences. He has been working in UAE for more than 17 years since 2004, involved in many prestigious projects like Abu Dhabi Airport (Midfield Terminal Building), Downtown Views II, Skycourt Towers, Dubai Digital Park, throughout his career he handled projects as a CAD and BIM lead. He is ambitious and highly motivated professional in areas of BIM / CAD, MEP Coordination and on site.

Mr. Mansour Faried is the Chief Engineer and Director of Engineering department at China State Construction Engineering “Middle East”, he leads the Engineering team of the world leading contractor to develop technology driven technical proposals and Engineering solution for running and upcoming projects across Middle East region.

He holds Master Degree in Construction management from Reading University, with a major specialty in construction innovation, building information modelling (BIM), Virtual construction and in particular 3D printing applications in construction field.

With an extensive knowledge gained over 20 years of participation in large, complex and landmark projects, Mr. Mansour has developed his realistic vision towards Construction industry, and became able to early identify the minor flaws before it rolls up into major business failure, accordingly became able to manage all sizes of projects, and assist different stake holders to take the right decision on the right time.

Dr. Marwan Abu Ebeid is the Director of Digital Transformation for Turner Construction International - Middle East.

Dr. Marwan has 20 years of experience in Construction Project Management and Building Information Modeling, where he has worked in a variety of notable landmark projects of various kinds and use.

He is a co-author of UAE’s Smart Construction Guidelines, a founding member of Center of Excellence in Smart Construction - CESC, a Board member of Digital Engineering Chapter in Society of Engineers - UAE, a member of the Advisory Board for the American University of Sharjah, and an expert industrial advisor and specialist speaker in various international exhibitions and conferences.

Dr. Marwan has a PhD Degree from Heriot-Watt University - UK, a certificate in Driving Digital Strategies from Harvard University, and a certificate in Digital transformation from MIT.

Mr. Kamran Taraz leads the Etihad Rail Project on project control, Interface management, change management and risk management activities. He has master degree of Industrial Engineering with unique 21-year background in project management, project planning and cost management, strategic planning and elegant leadership on multimillion-dollar oil & gas, petrochemical, infrastructure and automotive projects which provides to his organization unique advantage.

Prior to CSCEC, Kamran served in management role managing cross-functional initiatives within engineering, procurement fabrication and construction sectors covering project control and management aspects with Saipem, CB&I, PEDCO in the projects with ARAMCO, Shell, ADNOC, Total and Thai Oil.

Mr. Haydar is a senior robotic expert and the product manager of Schindler R.I.S.E, the world’s first mobile robotic system for elevator installation. His scope of responsibility is the total life cycle management of this cutting-edge technology which includes the proper development, industrialization and roll-out into the operational installation business. He also assures the adequate maintenance and spare part management of the system.

Mr. Haydar has extensive technical and organizational leadership experience in product & application development for robotics and industrial automation systems globally, being in the industry for 30 years, based in Switzerland, Turkey, Canada and Japan. Previously he has worked as a robotics R&D and mechanical design engineer, an engineering manager and has experience in business development in robotics & automation technologies. Mr. Haydar holds an M.Sc. degree in Robotics and an MBA in International Management.

Mr. Omar is Architect, Sr. BIM Coordinator at CSCEC-ME; his interest in Architecture was developed from a very young age and has since been a long-standing passion of him. It is the combination of Architecture, Structure technology, that makes this profession so appealing. his journey is too long to find his identity and increase his academic studies with personal experiences.

He has 11 years demonstrated experience of engineering and significant experience in BIM for construction. Mr. Omar has been involved in a wide range of buildings projects including large scale high-rise and low-rise projects such as residential, commercial, civil, airports, educational, cultural, sports arenas, roads, tunnels, and perceivable buildings over the world.

Mr. Omar has undertaken BIM for project coordination and control on numerous buildings for various clients. Also carried out a substantial amount of 20 projects in his personal experience. Thriving with challenging the norm with the aim to improve projects and increase value while optimizing work processes, sophisticated design optimization and new technologies together with stakeholders ensuring a rapid construction and an efficient building.

Mr. Alex George is the HSE Director for CSCEC ME business. He has been working in UAE since last 18years (since 2003) and involved in various land mark projects such as Airports, high rise towers, bridges, tunnels, towers, hotels and utilities.

Mr. Alex is having a bachelor degree from Anna Technical University (India) and possess significant professional qualifications from NEBOSH, PG Diploma in Safety Professional from Oxford & Cambridge UK. Mr. Alex is a Registered Safety Professional and holding many memberships from Recognized HSE certification bodies such as IIRSM, IOSH, RSPH, CIEH, and ISQEM.

Ms. Joylyn M. Dela Cruz is the Digital Consultant of Aurecon and now based in Melbourne, Australia. Having worked in the Middle East for 6 years, Ms. Joylyn has been responsible for the implementation and management of BIM on Middle East exemplar landmark Projects such as The Dubai Creek Harbour Tower and Podium, Expo 2020 CoEx Campus, House of Wisdom and Riyadh Metro Project.

She is a strong supporter of the BIM revolution, she believes digitalizing BIM can make the projects as buildable, usable, operable, and sustainable as possible.

Ms. Joylyn holds a Civil Engineering degree from Mapua University in the Philippines.

Dr. Anas Bataw plays a vital role driving AEC innovations and digital transformation by contributing to the development and delivery of National standards, guidelines, and ISO in GCC, Singapore and UK. As well as leading initiatives and programs on organizational level with strong leadership abilities and hands-on technical expertise in Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), Design for Manufacture & Assembly (DfMA), Building Information Modelling/ Management (BIM) and Digital Twinning.

Established extensive capabilities developing and leading large-scale AEC innovations programs from R&D, identification, building cases, prototyping, and setting up teams to developing and executing methodologies, processes, procedures and building ecosystems.

Dr. Anas Bataw is the Director of the Centre of Excellence in Smart Construction (CESC). In this role, he has the overall responsibility to advancing industry-led innovations in the built environment to revolutionise the way we develop, manage, and operate smarter cities.

Ms. Michelle De Sesto is currently the HQ Assistant Technical Manager of China State Construction Engineering Corporation Middle East (CSCEC ME). She is a seasoned and versatile licensed Civil Engineer with total of 17 years of combined local and international experience.

She has been working in UAE for more than 15 years since 2006 mainly involved in vast array of projects namely airports, high rise buildings, mixed use developments and infrastructures. Her career in UAE started at the man-made island in Palm Jumeirah which is the construction of 6 Towers of Marina Residences. Through her strong site experience in the field, she has transitioned and focused into Bid Management who mainly handled mega and special projects such as the Dubai Creek Harbour Tower and various airport projects.

She has been proactive in handling and taking the lead of executing challenging tasks through robust collaboration and had progressively expanded her horizons in strongly dealing with industry partners and market specialists.

In early 2021, Mr. Mario joined Cundall as the Head of Sustainability MENA to shape the company’s business in the region as it rises to meet increased demand for sustainable and net zero carbon solutions. Mr. Mario has successfully directed turnkey high-profile projects across the MENA region including the Dubai Expo 2020 UAE Pavilion, SABIC HQs in Saudi Arabia, Meydan One Mall in Dubai, Bahrain Airport new terminal building, and the Lebanon Waterfront City.

Mr. Mario currently holds around fifteen years of diversified regional experience across various sectors including Low and Net Zero Carbon design and construction, project management, operations, planning, trainings and contracts administration. His passion for this field led him to acquire several international accreditations, notably being a USGBC Faculty, LEED AP, ESTIDAMA PQP, BREEAM International Assessor and GSAS Certified Green Professional.

Ms. Swapna worked as Sr. Planning /Project controls/ Delay analyst roles in various top-notch Clients & Contracting firms in UAE, Saudi Arabia and India for the past 16+ years. Currently, working as a Senior Planning Manager in CSCEC. With academic background and diversified experience in project controls, always try moving to digitalized construction industry to have an inclusive growth.

Ms. Swapna Jadhal holding MBA, BE, PMP, RMP, ACIarb, RICS Expert Witness.

Mr. Deya currently occupying the role of Sr. Planning Manager at Down town projects for Emaar. He has been working in CSCEC since November 2016 with more than16 years’ experience in planning and controlling mega projects and high rise buildings in The UAE and GCC area.

He holds BSc in civil engineering from the University of Jordan, MSc in CPM, from the British university in Dubai and currently in his last year of studying PhD in PM.

Mr. Eric Liew is a Senior Structural Engineer working at CSCEC ME HQ Engineering Department. Graduated from University of Canterbury in New Zealand with Master of Engineering, Mr. Eric started his career since 2004. With over 16 years of working experience.

He has involved in all facet of the construction industry and has working experience in Project Management company, Engineering Consultant firm and Contractor

Mr. Eric Liew has involved in a wide range of project such as Dubai Mall, Downtown Burj Dubai Underground Carpark, high rise tower such as 111-storey tall Tradewinds Square (608m) and also 75-storey tall Four-Season Place (342m) in Kuala Lumpur.

Mr. Tarek Emara is the Quality Director for China State Construction Engineering Corporation Middle East (CSCEC ME). He has been working in UAE for the past 21 years since 2000, involved various type of projects such as High-Rise Towers, Bridges, Tunnels, Airports and Utilities Work.

Mr. Tarek is a B.Sc. Civil Engineer from Zagazig University and Msc. from Heriot Watt University. He is also a member of the ACI UAE Chapter, Incorporate Member of the Charted Institute of Building, Certified Manager of Quality/Operational Excellence from American Society of Quality and has been representing Dubai Government in the Assessment Process of Dubai Quality Awards for 5 Years.

Mr. Mohammad Yasser Baaj is a Professional Engineer specialized for more than thirty-six years in smart construction methodologies, offsite manufacturing and Design for Manufacturing topped with modular construction.

Mr. Yasser participated in bringing many landmarks in UAE to reality then, As VP and co-founder of DuBox, he has been leading a revolutionary shift in construction industry, bringing change and innovation to traditional practices and converting construction into factory hosted industry.

Mr. Yasser, who is also the CEO of B3G Engineering Services, is one of the regional leaders in smart construction, and was recently nominated as the “Technology Leader of the year 2021” by DMG.
